True finches are small to medium size Passerine birds in the family of Fringillidae. Finches could be split into two further categories, as in wonderful, aviary birds, then there are others that happily live in cages where they’re free from predators, enjoy correct quality food and a relaxed interaction in the home environment that they live in, but don’t confuse this as being friendly and trainable as say a budgie, cockatiel, parakeets, parrots etc. No - your love of these much tinier birds will come from how they bring amazing colour, nature and happiness into your lives. Plus some sing & others make pretty chirruping noises – JUST WONDERFUL! for the non-hands on bird enthusiast.
